Cara texted me at the time and mentioned it at dinner (without using any of the key words) and I said "Wow, she knows the author!". Then, thinking better of it, I demurred "Or at least something she heard in association with the book."
Cara thought about it for a second, shrugged and asked Adelle "Who wrote Tunnel in the Sky?" No visual cues at all.
Adelle didn't miss a beat. "Heinlein." |
