"They killed our friends on the lifeboat and we thought helicopters would bomb us in Eyl last night," a pirate in Eyl, who called himself Farah, told Reuters.

"We were mourning for dead friends and then roaring planes came -- grief upon grief. America has become our new enemy."

Avast! And those pirates were so close to being our best friends too! Now they're our enemy. Awwww.

Also, some Somalis tried to take some potshots with a mortar at a US Representative. They're very, very lucky they didn't hit him. Even Obama would be forced to do something worthwhile against them if they killed a US legislator.

You know what bug me most? The Maersk Alabama was carrying relief supplies to the region. I think we ought to start dropping C130 loads of Liberator pistols and say that we'll start shipping food over again when the pirates are gone.
