She was a hell of a woman. She bore and raised thirteen children - eleven of them boys. She was widowed with kids still in her home and still managed to raise a good family. Today I'll look at a family with six children and wonder how the parents do it.
The last I saw of my Grandma Swenson was in a video that my parents shot when they went out to California with my brother a month or two ago just after her birthday. They mentioned she was a little absent at times, but during certain periods was much more aware of her surroundings. She certainly seemed to know what was happening around her in the video.
